While I didn’t find anything I couldn’t live without at the Centralia flea market, I did have a great day looking around the town. It is quite charming this time of year with the hanging baskets decorating the downtown area.
After checking out the flea market and window shopping I was getting a little hungry, so I decided to get some lunch. Driving through the town it was quite apparent that all the restaurants were super busy with all the activity of the Seattle to Portland bike riders in town.
I ended up going to Bill and Bea’s for lunch which is well known for its burgers and shakes. I haven’t had one of their burgers in ages so I thought I’d treat my self. I ended up waiting for 20 minutes after I’d already waited for 10 minutes to order, but I figured it was worth it. The cheeseburger deluxe basket for $7.25 included french fries and soda, cost more than I’d planned to spend but what the hell right? Well I took it to-go for an outdoor picnic at my parents place only a few miles down the road.
I’m sorry to say I was disappointed with my lunch, there was so much goop on the bun that it came out the sides with every bite. Totally messy with a thin patty, and the fries weren’t even good. The kind that I don’t even like with an extra fried coating. Anyways, I was Starving by the time I was eating so I ate it all except a couple bites of goopy bun and a few french fries that I shared with the dogs and birds.
